This has been an incredible past month. Mike barely survived his heart attack, and we've been soooo blessed to still have him here. It was a miracle, and life is looking good, because when it's all said and done, our family is all that matters. We love and appreciate everyone that prayed and stood by us, and all those that had a part in his life being spared. There were a lot of gifted medical people and friends who worked through the Lord to save him. We've started to rethink our future and decide what we should do. Life is a big puzzle to solve and we're excited to play.

We absolutely loved our trip up to see Randy and Jill Mills. They are awesome friends who spoiled us rotten, and we let them. They remodeled their house and we fell in love with it. Their yard is to die for. That was a fun weekend. We're still in the middle of helping Bria and Craig remodel and it won't be too long till they leave us. I will hate not seeing Krew every day, he's a precious angel.

A highlight of this summer was the birth of little Carly Marie! She is soooo cute, she looks like BJ when he frowns. She's a good baby and wants to be wrapped up tightly. She loves her binky. Congrats to the Southwicks for another gorgeous child.

July and August: The last of my summer break went by in a blur. We had lots of company and lots of stuff going on. Collin and Quentin came out and Bria and Craig are living with us too. We got fun visits from Rex and Clif who are helping BJ with his new business. The funnest though was getting to see little Krew everyday and playing with hime. He's a doll and soooo much fun. School has started now and everything is just a chore and stressed time management. But we're grateful for our health and the energy to do what we need.

We had a fabulous family reunion. We had about 30 here. We missed you all who couldn't make it. Next year we want to get the most yet so start planning now for the 2nd weekend in June. The weather was perfect, not too hot. Everyone seemed to totally enjoy themselves. We had Summer and Jeff's family here for the first time, that was COOOOOOL! We love you guys. The food was good, I hope everyone enjoyed it. Every sibling was represented by their kids. Southwicks had the most this year. I challenge any sibling to out-do us next year

Israel Trip/ April 15-May 1

We're on an overlook of Tel Aviv, a beautiful and modern city in Israel.

This is our fabulous group. 41 of us originally, all family and friends of the Faust family.

I haven't said much about our trip, but it was amazing. The people we got to know were wonderful and Mike and I learned sooooo much. Everywhere we went we were dumbfounded by the incredible history. There were so many Roman ruins. We walked on Roman roads and mosaics that were 2000 years old. Our favorite spiritual place was the BYU Jerusalem center on the Mt. of Olives. The story behind it's creation was awe inspiring. I'm putting on a few more pictures to share.

Our trip to Israel was incredible. We couldn't have had a better time. We made some wonderful friends and got to know a lot of great people. Seeing sights from history and the bible were so exciting, and our testimonies grew as we followed the Savior's steps during his last week of life. Now as we read from the scriptures they take on new meaning because we have a frame of reference. We are so glad we went and want our family to know we have a strong testimony of the Savior and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mikes party turned out so awesome! Thank you to all that helped, and came! The night was filled with good food, fun, and talent! The food was amazing! Kitty made specialty cupcakes that were to die for! We had good salads and hamburgers. Everyone dressed up, and looked so cute! The kids did a pinata, and loved it. Then we had the little kids do some talents. Kitty wrote a song for Dad and Kayson sang it. It was beautiful! We all cried. Then mikes brother, Len wrote him a poem and read it for us. HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY!!!!

It's Mike's 60th birthday coming up on February 27th! We are having a party for him on Saturday February 28th. We are inviting anyone who knows Mike and wants to share this day with him. We will be having a talent show, food, and fun. We love you DAD!!!!!!

OUR BEAUTIFUL GRANDKIDS

This is little Kingston. He just had his first birthday a couple weeks ago. He is so cute and smart! We love him so much.

This is the newest edition to the Southwick family. Little Krew Michel. He was born on the 16th of December. He is the cutest, most easy going baby.

This is Brynn Lee. BJ and Ambers youngest. She is so funny and cute.

This is Connor. BJ and Ambers oldest. He is a little jokster, and so smart!

This is Rylee. Brax and Kara's youngest. She is such a good little dancer, and she is so good in school.

This is Treston. Braxton's youngest, and one of the twins. He is getting so tall, and handsome! He is the sweetest kid, and such an awesome motorcycle rider!

This is Taja, Braxtons youngest. She is so beautiful, and fun. And Jayden is Braxtons oldest daughter. She is 14 and is so good at volleyball.

This is Braxtons oldest. Braxie. He is 17 and so tall! He looks just like Braxton. He is on the JV team at school for wrestling, and loves it.

This is Colton. Kara's oldest. He is such a good kid! He is playing football right now, and is loving it.

The Southwick family has a blog!!

I am starting a blog for my family, so everyone can keep up with us, and know what we are doing. 2009 has started off really well for everyone! We are looking forward to a wonderful year. So here is just a bit of what everyone is doing. Mom and Dad are working hard! They are excited for their trip to Israel.

Braxton and Kara are busy running kids around with little Brax in wrestling, Jayden in volleyball, Colton in football, Rylee is dance, and the twins with their friends and stuff. They are all growing up so fast! All of them are so sweet and loving. They are such good kids. Braxton started racing his stock truck, and has a race coming up in Feb. Check the blog for updated photos of the truck and his last race. Him, BJ, and Justin were awesome.

BJ and Amber are busy also! They are both working full time, and expecting a new baby in the summer time. Connor is busy doing basketball, piano, scouts, and school. He is so smart, and funny. Brynn is a little doll. She is in singing lessons and loves it.

Bubba and Nancy live in California, and have adorable little Kingston. They are traveling to Dubai next month.

Bria and Craig just had baby Krew last month. He is such a good baby, and they adore him. He was blessed the 25th of January. Craig is working is sales, and Bria is slowly getting back into work doing aesthetics.

Kitty is working hard at T.R. She is always sharing her talents with us. She is an amazing cook, and she is such an awesome rider!!
